Planning to spend a semester abroad? Need help with your CV and application? Want to know how to create an academic poster? This course will give you the skills you need to successfully navigate the world of academic research and present yourself as the best applicant. In this course, you will learn about different email conventions and inclusive academic correspondence, develop application materials that highlight your best qualities as a candidate, and perfect your analytical reading and mediation skills needed to develop a scientific poster. Join a welcoming course environment that encourages collaboration and engagement. Develop essential academic skills through dynamic group work, lively class discussions, and a variety of interactive gaming activities for an enriching learning experience. Bonus: in the winter term, the course includes a field trip to the annual Science Camp, where you will experience first-hand a scientific poster presentation and have the opportunity to interview your peers.

Wichtiger Hinweis: Studierende der Physik und Biowissenschaften können das Modul im Rahmen ihrer Studienordnung als wahlobligatorisches Fach und damit kostenfrei belegen. Dies wird anhand der bei der Einschreibung erhobenen Angaben zum Studiengang überprüft. Das Sprachenzentrum behält sich vor, das Kursentgelt (40 Euro) nachzufordern, wenn der Nachweis der Belegung als (wahl-)obligatorisches Fach durch die Studierenden nicht erbracht werden kann.
