Academic Presentations Masterclass - In a Fresh New Format
in cooperation with the Graduate Academy of the University of Rostock
The workshop will take place on 13, 20 and 27 March 2026.
This 3-part workshop is designed for PhD candidates who aim to deliver clear, confident, and engaging academic presentations. Through interactive exercises and hands-on practice, participants will learn how to structure their talks effectively, communicate complex ideas with clarity, and enhance their delivery using body language and visual design. The workshop also offers strategies for handling challenging audience questions and creating impactful presentation slides. By the end, you'll be better prepared for your next academic presentation. To support continued improvement, each participant will receive personalized feedback from the instructor after the final session. In order to benefit fully from the sessions, participants are expected to engage with self-study materials between sessions.
Master's students are also welcome to participate in the course, but priority is given to doctoral students.
This workshop is a revised version of our previous academic presentation courses. This workshop is being held in cooperation with the Graduate Academy. If you are a member of the Graduate Academy, you do not need to pay the course fees immediately. Instead, send an email to grada@uni-rostock.de stating the workshop you would like to attend and ask for the course fees to be covered.
