Together we will begin a journey into understanding and speaking German, the language of famous people such as the poet Goethe, the musicians Bach and Beethoven, and bands such as “Die Toten Hosen” and “Revolverheld”.
After a short time, you will be able to introduce yourself in German, talk about your studies, read simple texts about everyday life in Germany and make plans for various leisure activities. You’ll be able to go shopping and understand prices in the “Mensa”, and strike a bargain for your student apartment at a flea market.
In the course you can expect a variety of activities and exercises, such as pair and group work, combined with individual tasks on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. We will work extensively with the online platform ILIAS.

Your growing vocabulary now includes most everyday objects and situations. Not only can you speak and write about what you’re doing now, but you’ll also be able to talk about what you did last week as we learn about the past tenses and how they are formed and used in German. In the course you can expect many different activities and exercises, such as pair and group work, combined with individual tasks on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. We will work extensively with the online platform ILIAS.

You have taken your first steps in German and now you want to become faster and more confident. In this course you will learn how to talk about your education experiences as well as your wishes and plans. You will be able to make suggestions and politely say yes or no, both in private situations and at work or university. You can already express quite clearly what you want and what you still need help with. In the course you can expect lots of communicative exercises and oral practice, digitally supported group work and small writing tasks. The lessons are supplemented by numerous digital tasks for individual self-study.

In this course, you will learn how to describe and explain your concerns in detail. You will be able to give other people tips and advice and express your feelings, such as sympathy and joy. You will be able to have simple telephone conversations, for example with colleagues or a doctor, and will be able to deal with many everyday situations in German. You will gradually be exposed to authentic texts. In class, we will do a lot of oral practice for everyday situations, we talk about your experiences and practise polite expressions. Self-study allows you to continue to learn and deepen your knowledge of German according to your interests.

Sie haben die Anfängerkurse erfolgreich absolviert. Jetzt machen Sie den nächsten Schritt und werden selbstständiger in Ihrem Sprachgebrauch.
Informelle und vor allem formelle E-Mails zu Uni-Themen werden Sie bald sicher beherrschen. Sie trainieren, wie man in kontroversen Situationen souverän reagiert und trainieren Ihre Aussprache beim Präsentieren und Diskutieren. Sie üben typische Kommunikationssituationen für den Beruf und lernen, wie man auch dort den richtigen Ton trifft.
Sie können die Wörter für viele praktische Situationen schon gut. Jetzt lernen Sie mehr theoretischen Wortschatz. Suchen Sie beim Sprechen noch oft nach dem passenden Wort? Nicht mehr lange: Immer seltener brauchen Sie das Englische als Hilfsmittel und lernen, wie Sie sich unbekannte Wörter auf Deutsch erschließen.
